S. Korea

I made it to Korea! Korean Air was very nice. All the reviews I read about it mentioned the same things- attractive flight attendants and good food. Well I have  to say I agree. I loved their outfits too. Pretty teal and cream with a very large contemporary bow in their hair. I asked one lady if I could take her picture and she told me no. I'mgoing to have to try to sneak one. They are just too cute. I ate Bibimbop and pasta on the plane. The pasta was the vegetarian meal on the plane. It was plain but not bad. The Bibimbop was pretty good (rice, beef, seaweed, spinach, bean sprouts, kimchi pickles,  and spicy pepper paste).

I don't think I have ever eaten a meal on a plane before.  I sat next to a guy named Toby. He is Vietnemese and Italian and was headed to Vietnam for a month "to hang out." he lives in Baltimore. He reminded me of an Asian Justin Bieber. He was sweet and shared a candy bar with me. No one is ever chatty with me on planes but he was very talkative and friendly. The girl next to him was sick the entire flight. I gave her all my motion sickness meds- dramamine, motion Eaze, and ginger. Nothing worked for her and she kept running to the bathroom. I am in the Incheon airport in Seoul and it is better than any mall I have ever visited. It reminds me of Phipps Plaza- very upscale! I cant wait to get to Beijing and go to sleep. I slept onthe plane but it was a light sleep and I could still hear everything that was going on around me.  Time to board! Beijing here I come!

  1. Love it! Thanks for keeping us updated. I feel like I'm right there with you. I could picture in my head everything you shared. Lol @ the flight attendant not letting you take her picture:)

  2. I hope you got a picture of Toby too, sounds cute! I feel so sorry for the sick passenger! That is a pretty long flight to be sick on. Poor baby! Did you get pictures of inside the plane?

  3. I just typed this whole comment and lost it...now typing it again so if you get it twice......well whatever. Anyway! I am so excited for you! I think its really funny about the girl saying no to the photo. awkward.... but I confess, I took some sneak photos of people in China :) dont judge me readers. Its not that different than the way the kids gathered around and pointed at us at our first meal in hong kong. Apparently these adorable children werent used to seeing foreigners in their restaurant..even though we were in Hong Kong? :) Be safe! Have fun! CindyB
